Located in Montreal, Habitat 67 is a model housing community consisting of prefabricated concrete units stacked in various configurations. The project was meant to demonstrate a new lifestyle for its users, consisting of unique open-air walkways and gardens, while remaining affordable.
Using hand-drafting techniques, I designed the interior of a sample unit, creating an integral connection between the second level (in which users enter) and the base level, capitalizing on the windows and natural light when laying out the space, and adding user-friendly details such as sliding doors to the office, built-in fireplace surrounds, and a large kitchen perfect for entertaining.
